Abstract

The uninformed world traveller today would find it difficult to believe that Eucalyptus species occur naturally only in Australia and some of its close northern neighbours.

Gum trees are now abundant in many parts of the world, including California, the Mediterranean, North Africa, India, and the Middle East.
