Abstract

As a newcomer to what is undoubtedly one of this State's most important Ministerial posts, I take up my duties with a keen realisation of the outstanding role which agriculture has played in the past and must play in the future of Western Australia. It is a realisation that is shared by my colleagues in the Cabinet and one that will have important impacts on Government policy.

It will be the Government's aim to consolidate primary production in a manner designed to safeguard those investments
