Abstract

Since 1973, 29 lettuce varieties have been tested at the Medina Vegetable Research Station as part of a lettuce variety and time of planting research programme.

Tomato trials at the Gascoyne Research Station from 1971 to 1974 tested 21 indeterminate and two determinate tomato varieties. The trials have been aimed at finding a high yielding, high quality, heat tolerant variety resistant to fusarium root rot.
