Abstract

A range of pulse species were compared with the narrow-leafed lupin, Lupinus angustifolius, at sites in the winter rainfall agricultural areas of Western Australia for development as pulse crops and as possible alternatives to fertiliser nitrogen or nitrogen through legume based pastures. The essential characteristics of each legume species when grown in Western Australia are described.
